On the morning of January 26, Mom left the barren landscape of our world to walk the gardens of Heaven. She's in a better place...but, selfishly, I wish her back to this place.
My Saddest Day
Four Years…
Some things you never really get over. I think my life can be summed up into two phases: my life before January 26, 2006, and my life after January 26, 2006. I suppose it is an obvious fact of life that your parents will one day
Dear Laura,
I am so sorry to hear that your Mom lost her battle. My father also died on the morning of January 26th, 1997 - 9 years ago. My father is still with me, in my mind and heart, as alive today as if he were here. I just have to close my eyes and he is back on Earth. Your Mom will always be like that for you too. I have been praying for you and your family. ~ Kris
Laura --
I worked with your mother at ABS for quite a long time and I wanted to let you know that I am extremely sorry for your loss. Your mother was a true gift to this world and she brightened so many people's life just by being her amazing self. She sent me an email long ago that I still have -- the end of the note said, "There is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul." Your mother had the most beautiful soul and there will never be anyone else quite like her. You are in my family's thoughts & prayers.
Today is Sunday and I know it is the day of the service. I know this will be a tremendously hard day for you and the rest of your family. I am thinking of you today.
