About that coffeemaker...!

First of all, I need to disprove any theories of spelling ineptitude on my part. When I speak of my coffeemaker (one word) replies are returned to me in the form of "coffee maker" (2 words). This creates many moments of self-doubt and I find myself feeling unworthy to continue exhibiting my spelling capacity. Today I called upon an old friend for support; Merriam-Webster comforted me.

This morning, we realized in abject panic that we were out of creamer. Our upset subsided as we realized that we have a prince of a coffeemaker! A PRINCE, I say!

Why, you ask? He is PERFECT because he uses a thermal carafe! No hot parts! No hot plate, no hot glass—Ideal for Clumsy-Morning-Laura! (not to be confused with Clumsy-Afternoon- Laura) So, Miles proceeded to prepare coffee for the travel-happy container. We planned to break all boundaries! To go where no sleepy-eyed couple has ever gone before!—to drink our coffee at work!

Field trip for the carafe!

I cradled it in my lap during the ride, pointing out interesting traffic signs and lights. While he seemed happy just to be out of the house, I could tell that the excitement mounted as I pointed out these attractions.

Upon reaching our destination, he nearly jumped from my adoring hands to head for the door! We placed him in the front of the office to enjoy the morning sun.
